Your competent supervisory authority is determined by the federal state where you reside, work, or where the alleged violation occurred. Purposes of Data Processing by the Data Controller and Third Parties
We process your personal data only for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for any purposes other than those specified. We will only disclose your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have given your explicit consent,
  • processing is necessary to fulfill a contract with you,
  • processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation,

processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests, and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding legitimate interest in preventing the disclosure of your data.

Access Data
The website operator or hosting provider collects data regarding access to the site and stores it as “server log files.” The following data is logged:

  • Website visited
  • Time of access
  • Amount of data transmitted in bytes
  • Source/link from which you accessed the site
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

The data collected is used solely for statistical analysis and to improve the website. However, the website operator reserves the right to review the server log files retrospectively should there be concrete evidence of unlawful use.

Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics sets cookies or uses similar technologies to analyze visitor behavior.

  • IP address (truncated/anonymized)
  • Usage data (e.g., page views, click paths, time spent on site)
  • Device and browser information
  • Referrer URL
  • Location (based on anonymized IP)

IP anonymization

We have enabled IP anonymization. This truncates your IP address within the EU before it is transmitted to Google’s servers.

  • Analysis of user behavior
  • Optimization of our website
  • Audience measurement

Legal basis

The use of Google Analytics is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TTDSG).

Data Transfer to the U.S.

Google may transfer data to the U.S. The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the U.S. (“EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework”). Google is certified accordingly. Nevertheless, it cannot be ruled out that U.S. authorities may gain access to the data.

Retention Period

By default, Analytics data is retained for 2 months (GA4 standard), unless otherwise configured.

Withdrawal of Your Consent

You can withdraw or modify your consent at any time via the consent banner.

Data Processing on Behalf of a Controller

We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google in accordance with Art. 28 of the GDPR.

Matomo On-Premise (own server)

We use Matomo, an open-source web analytics platform that we operate on our own server. No data is transferred to third parties.

Data processed:

  • anonymized IP address
  • usage data (e.g., pages visited, clicks, time spent on site)
  • technical information (browser, operating system, device type)
  • Referrer URL

Purpose:

Statistical analysis of user behavior to optimize our website.

Legal basis:

When used without cookies: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
When used with cookies: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 TTDSG)

Retention period:

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for analysis purposes.
